I saw this beautiful collaboration of Noguchi lights hung on Robert Stadler’s Lighting Device amongst the products offered by The Carpenters Workshop Gallery this morning.
The Noguchi lanterns will be familiar to many of us but the Lighting Device – not so much. From Robert Stadler’s website:
LIGHTING DEVICE / 2O11-2O17
This carbon fibre tube is designed so that a ceiling light can be hung from it. The user can change its position by rotating it using a built-in cord. It’s a light fixture that adapts to the way we use the space, rather than the reverse. Hung from Anywhere and freed from their fixed location, lights that may have been with us for a long time are given a new lease of life.
Both lights have gone straight on my wishlist though I shudder to think of the price as they are limited editions, with a few artist proofs available too.
Yet, still, I dream … 🖤
