Looking through my latest copy of Belle magazine, June-July 2017, my eye was caught by an article, Telling Stories, about the the beautiful Chateau de Beauvoir, home to French Naturalist artist, Claire Basler, and her partner Pierre.
I immediately clicked my iPad to photograph the image above right as I have a similar mobile and am currently pondering where to place it when I get to the fun – decorating – part of my house project. The original, and article, photography is by Mads Mogensen.
Unlike mobile-obsessed me, I’m guessing most of you will be struck by the amazing artwork on the walls of the Chateau de Beauvoir, all of it done by Claire Basler who, with her partner, Pierre, has embarked on an immense personal project to renovate and restore the formerly rundown Chateau.
During the period of refurbishment, the Chateau, its’ art and artist have been, and continue to be, widely featured in interiors and arts journals.
I’ve posted a few widely available internet images here which may be quickly traced to source through Google. Of course the best place to start looking for more information is on the Chateau de Beauvoir website.
I do think that even if the art is not to your personal taste, the work is just stunning in scale, technique and beauty, isn’t it?
What an extraordinary and unique home to live in.
