Clearing another batch of emails – I know it should be ‘deal with: delete’ but who has the time? – I came across the promotional news on the recent (April?) launch of Superstious: a fragrance collaboration between fashion designer, formerly of Lanvin, Alber Elbaz and Frederick Malle.
Frederick Malle’s Editions de Parfums contain some of my absolute top favourite perfumes and feature regularly on my gift list for friends and family. Both D and I have been buying them since their introduction in 2000 (not that I’d remember the year but it’s on the website).
The range is expensive so it is worth buying, say, half a dozen samples as a gift and allow the recipient to pick it up from there or dive into the shower creams, room fragrances or candles as an introduction.
I’m sure Alber Elbaz’s Superstious will be a fine addition to the range – it will be on my birthday wishlist along with the Dries Van Noten fragrance that I’ve not tried yet.
I also loved the charming note, below, that Alber Elbaz wrote to ‘women with love’ about his perfume – he always seems so likeable, no?
Do click across to the Frederick Malle website for more information. These really are beautiful perfumes, a real treat for yourself or as gifts for others.
