BCMT: Blackline Large Serving Board

Joshua Vogel’s Blackline Collection

With my eyes still focused on all things kitchen, I was drawn to these beautiful Blackline Collection Serving Boards, above and below, by Joshua Vogel of Blackcreek Mercantile & Trading Co. (BCMT):

After years working in the furniture and interiors industry Joshua Vogel created Blackcreek Mercantile & Trading Co. as a way to explore small scale product design and manufacturing, and to reconnect himself with the practice and idea of handmade goods. All of BCM&TCo.’s products are made by people right here in our Kingston, New York studio. . . lovingly, and with care. We strive daily to get closer in understanding to the elements of our craft, not further removed.

We seek to connect good ideas with great materials through simple processes that, in turn, connect our customers directly to the essence of the work. After taking an eight year hiatus from furniture, Joshua launched a collection of pieces under BCM&T Co. utilizing this same ideology … The goal of our work is to create enduring, beautiful, and functional objects that you will love to use as much as we love to make . . . from our hands to yours.

Not only would any of these elegant serving boards look wonderful in my own kitchen but what a fabulous gift to give or be given. I guess we need no reminders that seasonal jollies are looming?

Helpfully, you’ll find a comprehensive list of stockist on the BCMT website. In the UK, click across to Another Country who retail a good selection of BCMT products, including the serving boards that I love so much.

BCMT do offer a much wider range of beautifully crafted products, including furniture and accessories along with their tabletop range. If you, like me, are currently remodelling your home, browsing is strongly recommended:
