When I’m thinking of lighting, it’s hard for me to look further than the simple purity of design displayed by Michael Anastassiades.
His is an aesthetic that hits my sweet spot and, lurking constantly, is an urge to install Anastassiades from the top to bottom of my home.
Above right and immediately below are two recent examples of the mobile chandeliers that I love so much – click the link above to see the full range of available product on his website, and find out where to buy.
Also of interest are the more commercial collaborations that he explores with design partners such as Flos – scroll down to see images of their most recent project.

I love the analogous comparison of pendants as jewellery for the body and the home. I admire the taking of basic shapes – square, circle, teardrop, line – and forming them into stunning mix-it-all-about lighting … at, maybe, more accessible prices than the designer collection. I’m sure we will be seeing these retailing quite soon.
So, more lighting decisions to make … but not today. Mañana.
Happy Weekend Smiles.
