The ready-to-wear (RTW) Fashion Week (FW) season kicked off this week, starting in New York (NY) then heading to London, Milan and, finally, Paris. And, yes, it’s four weeks of Fall – autumn/winter – 2017 collections.
I know it’s ridiculous as we’ve not even got to Spring 2016 IRL (in real life) but, suck it up, it’s just how it is.
There are signs of change with some fragmentation of location, a movement for ‘order straight from runway’ and less interest in the cost and straitjacket scheduling of staging the bi-annual extravaganzas of the seasons but, for now, most of the significant collections are still showing up for their moment in front of camera and media.
Today, from snow-covered New York, I’m rather loving the pretty florals of Adam Selman – both the actual flowers and floral elements of the collection.
A weekend bouquet to enjoy.
