I am having a total foodie moment today with Pinch Food Designs.
If you’ve ever read any of my restaurant reviews – in the Socialising category over on my Stiletto Wheels site – you will know that I absolutely love the theatrical element of eating out … or, indeed, just eating.
Right now, casual eating is where the London restaurant and home dining experience zeitgeist is at – which is all fine other than when it comes to a no-booking policy … yuck, hate that! – I can do casual too but …
I do miss the breathtaking beauty of the pretty, the delicate, the exquisite and unexpected along with the delicious. So, hello, Pinch Food Designs.
Based in new York, Pinch say:
We have nothing against conventional catering. It’s just not what we do.
As top-tier NYC culinary veterans with extensive experience in event catering, we believe our clients deserve a taste of something new and unpredictable, an experience that leverages the best food with never-before-seen presentation.
So we created Pinch Food Design, a bold new brand of catering powered by a state-of-the-art kitchen and design workshop devoted solely to the creation of one-of-a-kind “food furniture.” Our intention? To impress, entertain and inspire with food as delicious as it is daring, and design as inviting as it is innovative.
Led by the groundbreaking chef/designer duo of Bob Spiegel and TJ Girard, the Pinch team is driven by an uncompromising commitment to incite surprise, anticipation and delight with every bite while wowing our clients – and their guests – with imaginative presentation combinations that redefine the art of celebration.
Imaginative, pretty, practical and … totally and utterly yummy looking. This is so my kind of food and just what I need until the zeitgeist pendulum swings back to the theatrical and stunning in food presentation. Are you with me on this?
