Giants … and not in the plus size fashion …

Giants In The Forest: North Wales

I was going to blog about something else entirely today … you know, style, fashion, blah, blah, blah … and then I saw the image above.  Fantastic, fabulous and what is more stylish than smart, inspired art initiatives?

All is explained on Giants In The Forest website but, in brief, it’s about:

Vision Mechanics’ interactive arts project for 2013.

Welcome to Giants in the Forest, part of the Year of Natural Scotland 2013
We want you to get outside, meet the Giants and add something artistic of your own vision to their environment.
From tying a thread around a tree, to helping create a giant tissue flower bed, there are many ways to be involved.
Giants in the Forest is all about getting outdoors and experiencing Scotland’s most amazing wilderness.

This year our partners are hosting lots of outdoor arts workshops on special days; creating areas of Enchantment. Take your waterproofs, your layers your shorts and a sunhat!
Follow us on facebook for more details and check the partners’ area websites for the most up to date info on what’s going on, and please, please, please send us your pictures.
Finally, make sure you book you tickets for Dark Wood; the autumnal night-time walk in the woods that ends the Giants 2013 with a bang!

Nothing makes me feel better than being creative.  Summer is coming.  Go meet the Giants; express yourself sculpturally.  What better to do than wander in the forests looking at, contributing to, all that is enchanting about nature and art.

Although it’s a Scottish initiative, there are locations in Devon and North Wales participating, maybe more will be added, and a Giant Cycle Blogger.
