Having spent several years – due to uncontrollable events crashing through my life rather than intention – accumulating ideas and references for the renovation and refurbishment of my home, I now find myself having to make decisions. Eek.
It’s really hard … and I’m trying not to say that in a whiny first world way but, sadly, not succeeding.
I absolutely know that function, longevity and practicality are crucial in my decision-making but, oh dear, my eyes want what they want, no?
Especially in the areas of interior style that really float my boat, like lighting.
I must have at least ten options for every light fitting that I need, at every price point that I am, and am not, able to pay. And yet, still I see more …
Like these lovely Mondrian Wall Light fittings, above, from Venice M which would be perfect in my TV room.
And, although I’ve had the Circle 25 Wall Lights, first below, on my radar for a long time, I find that I am suddenly looking at the Circle Ceiling Light with fresh interest for our music room. Also, the Mondrian LED Light in our kitchen … ooh, I love it. the Kitami range too … where might I put me some of that?
‘Eyes bigger than your stomach’ is, I think, the phrase used when we overstuff ourselves on food.
’Eyes bigger than your house (or your wallet)’ might be more pertinent to this conundrum.
What to do … ?
