I’m feeling depressed about my housing project at the moment. It’s with the local planners who, despite seeming happy on their site visit with our ‘modest’ – their term – plans, went back to their office and now seem intent on stripping all the ‘wow’ from it, preferring basic boxy rooms with a window, it seems.
Our architect is trying to avoid a stand-off situation with them but we are starting to consider the appeals process as I really don’t see the point of replacing one boxy room with another.
For the moment, I’m leaving architect and planners to slug it out, and am continuing to find more fabulous lighting for consideration when we eventually get to the fun bit of a house project: interiors.
Today, I’m posting images of lighting from Larose Guyon who are based in Quebec.
I love the gorgeous colours of the Liane, above, against that dark backdrop but am more likely to be interested in the triple Le Royer Chandelier and Perla 3, below, for my own home.

Pretty fabulous, don’t you think? 🖤
