Today, I’m loving the fun and fantasy at PFW seen in two collections that my inner Rock Princess craves to wear. From Style.com:
Olympia Le-Tan Fall 2015: The heart of this collection was a boho evocation of the Ballets Russes, mediated via prints drawn by the designer’s dad, Pierre, along with harlequin decoration, tulle (inevitably), and ankle-strapped Louboutins. Stephen Jones’ Nureyev feather crowns, plus spangly tops and the ballet-themed bags all added to the sense of fun.
Saint Laurent Fall 2015: Slimane’s Saint Laurent woman has always had an edge … wearing leather leggings with cutouts all the way up the thighs; a black leather dress slit up to her undies, assuming she’s even bothered to wear any; and ripped and shredded tights above black leather ankle boots … there was plenty [in this collection] to inspire lust in bad girls everywhere.
Gotta say that I do hate the stick thin models that Slimane, in particular, uses – slim, I can live with but some of these girls look horribly anorexic – but I cannot resist rockin’ the princess vibe. I’d just prefer it on more normal looking females. It would still look good, honest..
Wishing that outer me were a reflection of inner me – the Rock Princess – colour me lust-inspired …
