Recuperating at home from my latest hospital treatment, I came across fashion illustrator Clym Evernden’s work via Six Rules Of Celine Fall 2014 for Another Magazine.
Clicking across to Clym Draws online, I learnt that:
Clym Evernden is an award winning artist who has a signature inky style of drawing: a fast and spontaneous technique which effortlessly captures the character and atmosphere of his subject matter.
A graduate of Central Saint Martins School of Art, Clym studied BA Fashion Design Womenswear where is 2003 he was awarded first prize for the Colin Barnes Illustration Award. During his time at St. Martins Clym created a collection of illustrated T-Shirts which were featured in British Vogue.
An international client base which includes Vogue, Fantastic Man, Hugo Boss, Schwarzkopf and Carine Roitfeld, Clym is also a regular feature at runway shows and events, where he is commissioned by brands as a live illustrator.
There are many examples of Clym’s work to see on his site and via a quick online search. I also love the idea of ‘live event illustration’. Wonder if there are any of these events happening in London?
I like Clym’s style and, looking at his fabulous illustrations, I’m itching to get back to some illustrations of my own when my hands and eyes are working again … shouldn’t be too long now …
