I’ve been admiring the work of artist, Geoffrey Johnson, today. I love his use of beautiful colour and the stunning Abstract-Impressionism of his very contemporary style.
Geoffrey Johnson seems to keep a low profile online presence – Insta: @geoffreyjohnsonart – but I was able to click through from this to find some of his work, selling through the Hubert Gallery, Shain Gallery and the Principle Gallery in Virginia, USA.
The images, here, are all to be seen on the Principle Gallery website. My own inclinations are always towards the ‘dark’ side so I am particularly drawn to the paintings of New York, below, my second favourite city in the world, of which Geoffrey Johnson says, per the artist bio on the Principle Gallery website:
“It doesn’t call for colour. A limited pallet brings more of the mood of the city out to me. More of how I feel about it.“
Me too. 🖤. I love it.
