Looking back at Milan Fashion Week (MFW), rounding up, it was very Italian … lots of colour, luxury, shiny, madcap, furious, flamboyant fun.
As I’ve already covered some of this in previous posts – on Moschino, Hats and Flowing Dresses, here, I’m focussing on my personal best of the rest including the stuff I’d actually wear if I were able which is usually the – slightly – more understated of the looks to be seen.
Possibly my favourite collection was from Albino Teodoro, image above right, with lots of items that were yearningly wearable featuring some really interesting shape and detail. I shall be looking out for him going forward.
Below are the ‘best of the rest’ that fit with my personal aesthetic including the pretty (Marni and Etro), some of the more restrained Dolce & Gabbana, elegantly comfortable (Roberto Cavalli and Bottega Venetia) and a lovely subdued knit from Missoni.
Ciao, Milan.
Bonjour, Paris … 🎡
