Making no apology for usually featuring the most beautiful and fabulous creations that wend a runway path, I was struck, today, by the lush, wearable style of a more regular name on the high street – or city centre anyway – that of Joseph, currently under the aegis of creative director, Louise Trotter.
Just look at these images, above and below, from Joseph Fall 2015, at LFW and click the link to see more on Style.com:
Trotter and her Joseph team do a very good job distilling their conceptual runway pieces into commercial looks; they seem to be taking a cue in that regard from Acne, another brand that shoppers rely on for high-end, gently progressive wardrobe staples. It’s not a bad strategy.
This kind of forgiving, yet beautiful, style would look just great whether you are standing or, like me, sitting in your day to day life whilst draping soft cashmere around your rather-more-than-size-zero curves. And all available from a store somewhere close to you next winter …
Yum. I can totally see myself in the grey, above and below, lounging in style on my wheels.
