Paris Fashion Week (PFW) is fully underway at the moment though sadly lacking, for me, is the presence of Gareth Pugh who chose to open NYFW with a completely cray-cray dance performance, marked by the absence of, you know, a S/S fashion collection. Let’s hope he got that out of his system in one go and is back on the runway next year …
To fill the void, Rick Owens presented a really rather gorgeous collection which at least partly satiated my predilection for the abstract and asymmetrical.
This S/S 2015 collection seemed to be something of a change in style for Rick Owens – still with that street edge but more grown up and, um, struggling for the word but, maybe, sophisticated would do?
Amongst a number of chic-ly wearable items, I adore the floaty, gauzy top above – it is much like an updated version of a lovely sheer, brown and gold, wrap-over coat I once had from Eskandar. Yummy.
