Oska in London – great for plus sizes

Oska 2012

Great news for those who know the German brand, OSKA – they’re opening a London branch at 27 New Cavendish Street, W1G 9TX, t: 020 7224 0676.  They have also set up a new and improved online shop Oska-London.

Comparable to the US brand, Eileen Fisher in price point – so not cheap but not high-end designer either – and quality, Oska offer a great, slightly quirky and stylish, range.  For A/W 2012, I particularly love the top in the photo above.  They call it a waistcoat (?), it comes in a few different colours and is £219.

Their styles are easy fit with regular sizing up to a UK 22 and a Comfort Fit from 1 to 3, with a 3 going up to UK size 26/28, although, at the larger end, the product offer is, as usual, limited.

A lot of their collection has that asymmetrical, abstract look that I tend to favour, with trousers, jackets and knitwear all worth a look to my mind.  Not tons of black and what there is, goes quickly.

Just stumbled on this site by accident. Glad that you’re around as I’m constantly looking for decent plus size clothing. Used to get Oska gear in Crouch End in North London but it became too expensive for them to stock. Then J. Lewis and House of Fraser in Oxford St, again, they stopped stocking and I’ve yet to vist the Oska shop in Chelsea but maybe I’ll start buying online. Thanks.

Hi there and thanks for dropping by and commenting – always lovely to receive positive feedback.

I do encourage you to try online plus size shopping – the only hassle is the returns if you don’t like but it saves so much hassle, time, effort and petrol in not having to flog about all over the place physically.

Do let me know if you find any great places yourself. I am always open to new ideas and would be great to hear from you again.

      Best, Elle

Hey! I know it’s been a long time but I’m still an avid fan of Oska. The Oska jacket I bought with a matching skirt in Crouch End, I still have and wear. The black tube skirt, I bought a year later, I’m still wearing. I also bought two boiled pantsuits but unfortunately, they have become moth bitten so I’ve disposed of them. Items are still expensive and will become more so, if/when Brexit happens so, I’m just quietly waiting for the sales to happen. Glad that you are still going. Take care.
