Beige: a Minimalist Apartment in Kiev from architects, Evgeniy Bulatnikov and Emil Dervish, 2017.
Unknowingly, I’ve been collecting images of this stunning apartment via a number of my favourite social media interiors sources for some time. Unknowing because I hadn’t tied together that the separate elements I love are all from one interior space.
And, what a space it is.
As structural skeletons go this is the apartment equivalent of Michelle Pfeiffer’s bone structure. Frankly, like her, it would look good ‘dressed’ in anything and with the ‘Haute Couture’ level of interior styling that we see here … just, wow.
All credit to Elle Decoration UK, May 2018 Edition, for featuring the entire apartment – buy it to read the whole feature including details on sourcing – and do click across to Evgeniy Bulatnikov‘s website to see more images of this apartment and other project work by the architectural duo.
For me, it’s all about the images below:
1. The bedroom and bathroom … that green marble slab. Beautiful.
2. The simple sophistication of the colour palette.
3. The point and counterpoint of classic elements and materials – wood floors, beautiful high ceilings, marble, plaster, tall arched windows.
4. Understated styling – almost abstract furnishings – that minimalist kitchen, ageless Vola taps, Michael Anastassiades lighting everywhere – see the gorgeous Mobile Chandelier 5 Floor Lamp competing with the huge, original (gulp!), Alexander Calder Mobile in the living space, above and last Image below.
Who wouldn’t want to live in such sumptuous glory? Gorgeous. 🖤
