Wow. Just wow. Valentino, Paris Fashion Week S/S 2018.
I am a total fan-girl of Pierpaolo Piccioli who, to my mind, designs with every female in mind. Young, old, everything in-between. Short, long, day or night. Holiday or home. Ballroom or boardroom. Heels or flats.
Choose your own favourite, it will be in there somewhere – the images here are are mine (and did I struggle to pick just one favourite for my header image? Oh, yes, I did, the image above and first – so pretty in pink – below … so hard to decide.).
Piccioli’s aesthetic is all about beauty and comfort, casual and elegance, flattering not exposing, offering looks that will work for most of us, irrespective of shape or size.
And the fabrics. Always so beautiful whether monochrome with deft cut and drape or exquisitely patterned, intricately embroidered or sparking in sequins and jewels.
Simply stunning. This is art in fashion on the runway. A show.
Makes me want to stand up and cheer:
All hail the Maestro.
Exquisite Timeless Style.
